Structures In Rust
These are some of the earliest recordings when I first started writing “EDGEY” tracks, somewhere in the mid 1990’s. At the time I was very into my industrial and gabber projects – and this was just some fun experimentation with breaks (and apparently pads). Can’t say I’m terribly proud of this – but “humble beginnings” and all, I thought I’d share it for anyone interested. The music has come a long way.
I originally put these tracks together on CDR’s and sold them at shows (even if I wasn’t performing as “EDGEY”). Not sure of the exact original “release date”, but I do recall putting it up on MP3.com very early on.
The equipment was a random collection of old analog junk keyboards, samplers, and a drum machine or two. I have to admit I do miss that Roland Juno-6. There is no point attempting to “remaster” any of this – you can’t get frequencies out of what isn’t there – so these may sound tinny or annoying at times.
